Nestled in a convenient location, Sorreisa Hotell offers an accessible base to explore the captivating beauty of Iceland. During my recent overnight stay, I found the price quite reasonable at 105€ for a double room that included breakfast. Although the room was modest in size, it comfortably accommodated us and was equipped with a flat-screen TV and a well-stocked kettle for tea and coffee, which I value as a landscape photographer often in need of a pick-me-up. Upon our late arrival around midnight, the staff demonstrated politeness and efficiency, making our check-in seamless. Breakfast the following morning fell short of my expectations, resembling a typical Central European continental spread rather than the hearty fare I anticipated. The hotel provides practical amenities, such as luggage storage and a welcoming bar/lounge area to unwind after a day of exploration. While the experience didn't ooze luxury, Sorreisa Hotell strikes a balance between value and comfort, making it a worthy consideration for those traveling on a budget. Just keep in mind that while it serves as a solid launching point for your adventures, you may wish to seek alternative dining options nearby for a more authentic taste of Icelandic cuisine.
